I just finished testing the Cobra “CDR 895D” Dual Channel Dash Camera and LOVE this product for multiple reasons.

• Dash Cam has dual HD cameras, which record and display simultaneously in color on the LCD screen.

• Main Camera doubles as a portable Action Camera, which attaches to helmets, bikes, or anything with the camera mount attached.

• Dash Cam is easy to set up, automatically records once powered and the files download easily by connecting USB cable and dragging and dropping from Dash Cam to your computer.

According to the National Safety Council there are over 6 million auto accidents every year in America, or almost 16,500 accidents per day. Owning a Dash Camera provides you with the evidence that you may need to defend yourself if you are the victim of an accident, or a parking lot hit and run.

DASH CAM INSTALLATION

The Cobra “CDR 895D” Dual Channel Dash Cam is easy to install and setup. The main camera attaches to the windshield with a powerful suction mount and the rear camera uses a strong adhesive tape. The included power cord connects both cameras to the 12V receptacle. An adapter is available to connect your power cord to the fuse box, to free up your 12V adapter.

It only took me approximately 30 minutes to hide the power cord and rear Cam extension cable. I accomplished this by tucking the 10 foot cable into the headliner trim and the 20 foot extension rear wire into the door trim.

Anyone who drives for a living, or spends extended time in their car, should own a Dash Camera. I highly recommend the Cobra “CDR 895D” Dual Channel Dash Cam. This great Dash Cam exceeded all of my expectations with the thoughtful design, numerous options and great features.

Cobra “CDR 895D” Dual Channel Dash Cam offers two high quality dual cameras. The main camera (1080P Full HD) records forward action and the secondary camera (720 HD) can be attached to record the passengers, or the rear traffic.

The dual cameras are compact, rugged and feature high quality HD video, or JPEG images and are clearly visible on the 2” LCD color display.

The main camera offers a 1080P wide-angle 160° camera, while the display screen provides split screen views of live video, as well as playback of front and rear cameras. The secondary, or rear-record camera is tiny, but features a clear high-quality 720P wide-angle 130° camera.

The camera settings are easy to use and the Dash Camera offers many other customer friendly features, such as Lane Departure Warning, an alert to warn that you are drifting out of your lane. The Dash Cam also offers a Forward Collision Warning* to alert you when you are rapidly approaching an obstacle and a G-Sensor, with 3 settings that automatically begins recording when the device detects collision, or impact. This feature is perfect for those bump and run incidents in the grocery parking lot. The Dash Cam also offers a Parking Lot Mode that you can set for 5 minutes, or 10 minutes and will switch into sleeping mode based on your settings.

The system includes a 16GB micro SD card, that can be replaced with a 64GB SD card. The cameras records in intervals of 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes or non-stop Action Cam Mode and the settings allow you to overwrite Micro SD card, while leaving the Emergency Recorded protected from deletion. The “Action Cam Mode” feature is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who want to record video in one long recording.
