I waited almost a year before purchasing Google ChromeCast, because I wasn’t sure if this new technology would deliver as promised. I had my 25′ VGA cable connecting my laptop to my big screen TV and I didn’t want to waste money buying something that would sit on a shelf.
As usual, I decided to do some thorough research before going any further with this purchase. I visited all of the major retail stores that sold the product and I asked every possible question. It wasn’t until just a couple of months ago that I started to like the answers that I was hearing.
The technical issues were fixed, the number of apps streaming content across the Wi-Fi platform grew from only four at the beginning, to over 35, at the time of testing and the product is finally delivering as promised. The best thing about ChromeCast, is that I can stream from my laptop, iPhone, Android phone, or Android tablet with the press of a button.
If you use Netflix, Hula Plus, YouTube, or like to stream Internet content from your smart phone, or tablet, then I highly recommend Google ChromeCast. I now use this device three, or four, times a week and I can see myself using it more and more as time goes on. The one-time price tag of $35.00 is a bargain for the content and quality of service provided.
